Welcome Note
Welcome and thank you for visiting the Kiltimagh Amenity Park website. Your interest in this non profit community project is greatly appreciated. We invite you to share our vision by supporting us in our mission to create an amenity park for the community of Kiltimagh and the surrounding areas of East Mayo.
The mission of Kiltimagh Amenity Park (KAP) is to provide an all purpose amenity park for the community of Kiltimagh. This amenity park should consist of a play area for children and incorporate equipment suitable for use by children with special needs and be fully wheelchair accessible. It should also include a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), exercise equipment, .walking and cycling area in the outer perimeter with a colourful sensory garden and seating area. When members of the community enter our amenity park, it should provide a safe bright environment, where children and adults can explore and learn together.
Kiltimagh Amenity Park Mission
Kiltimagh Amenity Park is a non-profit community initiative which is striving to provide an all-inclusive Amenity Park in Kiltimagh, County Mayo. The Park would not only benefit the members of the Kiltimagh Community but other neighbouring towns within County Mayo.
This long overdue project is an essential necessity for the area and an additional outdoor amenity for the county. We, the Kiltimagh Amenity Park Committee are working closely with Mayo County Council to deliver on this worthy project. As a Committee our prime objective is to raise the required finances to purchase the six acre centrally located site.
Kiltimagh Amenity Park Goals
As a committee we have now completed the land purchase negotiations and are in a position to secure the purchase of the site.
But In order to complete the purchase, we must raise €150,000. Once the financial funds have been raised the development of the park can be then handed over to Mayo County Council, who will then bring the project to fruition.
